The Addiction Recovery Care Association, Inc., better known as ARCA, is a place where a family-focused environment and highly skilled staff work together to create an atmosphere that fosters recovery from alcohol and drug dependency.

We’re not here to say that the road to recovery is an easy one. It isn’t.

ARCA does, however, offer a 40-year track record of success by assisting people with Substance Use disorders to recover and maintain healthy lifestyles. Services available include medically managed detoxification, residential treatment programs, a family program, a Spanish language program and after care referral.

ARCA is a licensed, nonprofit agency that offers the most cost-effective Substance Use disorder treatment services in the Piedmont Triad and surrounding regions. We are licensed by the state of North Carolina for the treatment of chemical dependency and are also nationally accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. But we are more than just our certifications. ARCA embraces the highly successful Twelve-Step Philosophy. ARCA’s mission is to provide a recovery program to chemically dependent people and their families, as well as educate employers and the community.  We do these things because we truly believe…

The path to recovery begins at ARCA.

At SouthLight, we believe in the idea of shared humanity.

We as helpers are no different from those we serve. As humans, we understand that we are all learning as we go and doing the best we can along the way.

It’s as if we are all climbers, each navigating our own mountain. You’ve been on your mountain for your whole life so YOU are the expert of it, not anyone else. We recognize that there are some parts of the journey where it’s easy to navigate and other parts that are much more difficult.

Our role as helpers is not to tell you how to climb your mountain but to give you skills, tools, and support to help you learn to walk your path with more ease.

There are many reasons to join us on your journey. First and foremost, we believe that the best partnerships are those based on mutual respect and trust. We will make sure we’re always on the same page with you before we proceed, and we will strive to educate you on each step in your process so you know about the progress you’re making and so that you feel safe. We also strive to prepare you for the future, so when you leave our facility you feel confident in your aftercare options.
